First, redo the first 4 steps seen earlier:



And unwrap the UVW:



Now, I don't even expect this model to run in a game so I have no reason to mirror anything... but you'll want to mirror it if the character design lets you because it will give the torso more texture space (and thus a sharper skin). You can also mirror the front but it might look weird. Anyway, just select on half of it, press the "mirror" key (top-left, 4th icon) and move the vertices over the other half.



Wow, that took a whole seconds to do... Anyway, you know the drill; gotta remove the distortion. Apply a checker texture on the torso and move them mapping vertices to get those squares in shape.
